Back on My Feet – Literally

This past week was a big one. My first full week without crutches and my first week back at work! After what felt like forever hobbling around, just being able to walk feels like the biggest win. I didn’t realize how much I missed something as simple as walking until I could finally do it again. It’s safe to say my crutches are officially retired to the basement.

Of course, I didn’t waste any time putting my new mobility to good use.

Shore Creating some Core Memories

We took a little day trip to Avon-by-the-Sea to see cousins visiting from Michigan. I skipped the actual beach part (sand in my crutches era was enough for me, thanks), but I met everyone at The Columns for Lobster Palooza. For $20, you get a plate of lobster deliciousness that is so worth it. And because balance is important, we also crushed a few orange crushes — which, if you know, you know.

Lacrosse Life

Back at home, Grant had lacrosse camp all week and Joe was coaching it. Grant came home every day sun-kissed, sweaty, and full of stories. Joe came home… well, about the same.

Joe played it cool, but I can tell he secretly loves that Grant has taken such a liking to lacrosse. Every night they’d go over what happened at camp like it was a SportsCenter highlight reel, complete with replays and play-by-play commentary. It’s one of those things that makes my mom heart pretty happy too.

Bad Moms Night Out

By Saturday night, it was time for a little mom fun. A few other Audubon moms and I did our best Bad Moms impression and went out to our local favorite, Gbar. From there, we headed to Reunion Hall for throwback music and drinks. Let’s just say the early-2000s playlist hit hard… and so did my Sunday morning coffee.

Back to Work

Work wise, I jumped right back into showings, catching up with clients, and connecting people with amazing referral agents in other states. I’m also getting ready to launch two new listings at the end of the month. Summer might be winding down, but the real estate hustle is definitely not.

Looking back, it was one of those weeks that felt full in the best way. A mix of family, friends, fun, and getting back to doing what I love. Here’s to more steps forward (literally), more time with my people, and maybe a few more lobster rolls and orange crushes before summer’s over.
